C320 seat control module need help
My 2004 C320 driver side seat control module went bad few months back. Got a replacement SCM used one, same exact model. Put it in today and nothing happens. Still displaying 1 Malfunction, SRS problem....
Can anyone tell me where I can locate the fuse, if there is one particular for the seat control?
Or the part I bought it is defective, and I may have to return it?
Or is there a resetting procedure to make it working again. The used part looks like a good one to me, but don't know how to check it out if the part (used one) iteslf is defective or not.
I am stuck, literally I cannot move-adjust-tilt----.
Appreciate everyone for the prompt reply.
Sincerely, Lasers

I dont think it was the module causing issues.... These dang SRS issues are hard to diagnose, but for the most part seat control modules are replaced in the event that the power seats are draining batteries.
The SRS light has been known to come up when the weight sensor in the passenger side seat malfunctions.... I have no idea how to get around this one other than replacing the sensor, but the sensor is expensive and you have to pull out a lot of stuff to get to it... Not fun.

Seat control module went bad on both seats draining the battery.
Is this something I can do myself to replace it?
Any recommended link/sites for parts?
Thanks!

If you search around on here you can find a DIY guide to fixing the issue if you can solder and know basic wiring it will be very easy. If you don't it will take some time but still won't take to long and will be a good learning experience. The idea is very simple just using switched power instead of constant so if the key is off the seats are off key on seats on.
