C230 Coupe Power??

Don't think this is the right forum...So someone can move it if necessary...
Question about the C230 Coupe. It comes supercharged from the factory if I read correctly. Interested to know if the charger is upgradeable and what kind of power potential the car has. Also, is it possible or feasible to swap the supercharger in the car for a turbocharger in its place? Anyone help me out here? Thanks!

The 2002's have an Eaton M45 supercharger. The '03's seem to have a modified version of that, but we aren't sure. Kleemann was working on a project to swap the stock unit for a Lysholm twin screw supercharger, but that is now on the back burner. IT is possible to change to turbo, but I don't know if anyone had done it yet.

Benzy's mechanic put in a small Mitsubishi turbo and got about 300hp at the wheels but took it out because of transmission problems. If you have an '03, NO2 may be the way to go, no specific performance parts for it. Renntech has an intercooler that should fit but I don't know what it will buy you as nobody has done it or published numbers on it.

And now we know why the C32 and SLK32 have automatic transmissions.
