does anybody know if you can replace factory stereo in a 2003 MB c230 sedan? i heard you can then i heard you cant. so i don't know please help

yes you can, depending on what package you have you might need to bypass the bose amp thats in the trunk. Search the forum first, most questions like these have already been answered...

Thanks for info I'm new to the sight how do I navigate to find the forum?
Also I have the bose system. Is that amp any good with after market decks. I thought Bose were good speakers. I'd like to keep them and just ad a sub. Anybody please let me know . Thanks

Since you have Bose, replacing the head unit is a lot more difficult. You need to run a pair of RCA's to the trunk, remove the bose amp, and replace it with a new 4ch amp. Then figure out which wire is for what speaker.

ehhh.. sounds like replacing a HU is not as easy as doing one up on a Honda ehh?? Good luck with that dzonkyky

you don't HAVE to get a 4 channel to replace the bose amp. You can always run a set of speaker wires to the rear from your aftermarket HU and connect them to the existing wires, or just run a whole new set of speaker wires...

Thanks for all the responces Also is the factory amp any good? Can it be hooked up to aftermarket hu ? One more thing does anybody know what wires are what behind the deck. somebody has to know.

You can not use the bose amp with an after market HU. The bose amp is hooked up to the oem HU via fiber optics.
