How would these rims look on a Coupe?

You all know I have a silver 2002 Coupe. How do you think these rims would look on her.

They are fairly similar to BBS, except for the center area. I think a coupe looks better with 5 spoke wheels. This one is just a little bit too much.

But buy whatever you think is nice, its your car afterall!

Never did like BBS style rims with the many thin lace type spokes. It's also has to be a pain to keep clean. Like Harris, I prefer a simple 5 spoke design.

I like that wheel, If you are considering that, you might want to look at the OZ superleggera, its a light wheel and looks similar. Flik also has a similar wheel thats not as light but fairly cheap.

I would get teh bbs if i had the $$$, but im gonna get teh OZ my self.

The only bad thing about the 5 or 6 spke wheels, if the spokes are too thin you have to get a big brake kit or else its gonna look funny with tiny rotors, IMO

What about a similar look, but lite weight forged (11kg for 18x8).

they're pretty decent BBS knock-offs...nothing wrong with that....esp on silver coupe. I like that they dont have any cheezy logo or crap in center (from what i can see).

As Buellwinkle said they will be a pain to clean. I had BBS wheels just like that on an RX-7 and I got tired of cleaning them real fast, and there was not near as much brake dust on that car compared to my coupe. Im a big fan of 5 or 7 spoke wheels...like the Racing Harts that were posted a week ago.

Those look good too! But I want to keep the price with tires under $1000., So I think i'm limited to knock-offs.

no where. I have a friend that works at Discount tire here in town, I get 20% off tires and free mounting and balancing. So the tires are around 100 a piece and that leaves roughly 600 for rims. Edge Racing has alot of nice stuff. I just have to make up my mind.

Expected price is only $1840 for those wheels. That's pretty cheap for forged wheels.

I don't think the weight is right. because 11kg would be around 22.5 lbs. Thats not too light for rims that are marketed at lightwieght. Those other rims I was looking at are only 22 lbs a piece.

If you dont mind weight, there are a lot of wheels to choose from. There are all sorts of replica tuner wheels that are available local in teh LA area, that are great quality (Moven is the replica name). Most are 1 piece replica of 2 piece wheels... like brabus mono V and VI.. lorinser LM5.. and some other wheels..

they are roughly 210 per wheel... for 18x8.5
