Removing Rear door panels off '05 c230???!!!
Hey guys, just got some new door pins and surrounds and went to install today...didnt really go the way i wanted...the front passenger side seems to just keep screwing on more and more till it almost disappears and the driver side stops about half way down...i just made thme screw down abotu half way and they seemed to stay...
however, when i removed the plastic POS from the rear the screw the the pins screw onto disappeared!!!!!! i can see them barely with a flashlight and i cannot reach them at all...plus the doors will not unlock now since they cannot come all the way up!!! I need help removing the door panels so i can get them out and back to where they're supposed to sit..
PLEASE HELP SINCE I CURRENTLY HAVE 2 BIG OLE HOLES IN MY DOORS IN THE BACK!!!!!

get an allen wrench, small enough to fit on the hole. lock the doors using the central locking system button. then use the allen to reach the top of the locking stem/screw, gently push the stem to maneuver it so that when you push the unlock button, the stem will be centered on the hole and will come up. it helps to have someone unlock the door while you're gently pushing on the stem.

ya but how do you then get the allen wrench out? won't the stem just go right back over as soon as i let go of it with the allen wrench in order to unlock it?

the allen wrench (or skinny screw driver) is only used to guide the stem in order for the stem to get centered and out of the hole. after you unlock the car, the stem will then be accesible, so you can screw-in the door pins and install the door-pin-surround. actually you have to install the door pin surround first before you screw in the door pins.

hey thanks alot...i did it this afternoon and it worked great...i accidently dropped one of my new pinds down the hole and had to pop some of the side pins out so i could get a logn screw driver in to knock it down so it would fall out of the door...but i popped them back in and they work now....
the only thing is that the metal surrounds dont fit flush down into the hole...they stick up just slightly! should i attempt to force them down more or just assume thats as much as I'm going to get?
