Even if you have Valeo, my understanding is that there are select batches. However, if you have one, the best peace of mind is to have the rad replaced.

Some people like the torque of the M111 (2002) engine. Call me cheap, but I really like how my M271 (2003-2005) gets me 600km per tank in the city.

If I were to do it again, 1st choice would be MY2005. That is the 1 year they still have the M271, and you also get the facelifted interior and body.

You are right about the radiator. I purchased mine new in 03/2003 and has BEHR radiator. So did someone else' coupe also automatic purchased around same time. It says BEHR 72658 on the label.

You're both far more mellow than I! If I get 325 miles on a tank, it's cuz i did 90+% highway driving; more than 50% city and i can't break 300! Of course, I'm in the Boston area, and I drive like a typical Mass-hole! The M111 torque must be responsible!

I got my 2002 in 2005 for $16K (with 47K miles), and I love it more with each passing year. Now that I have 95K miles, maybe I should keep an eye open for a 2005....that is the last year the coupe was sold in the US, isn't it?

Just got an M111, with 105k on her for $5500.. I got 490 miles out of my first tank.. it was 91 octane though.. Not fast, but quick enough to pass others without a worry on 2 lane country roads..

Thanks for the welcome SuperBee. It was really nice to find this site and this forum in general before I got the car. I learned about the cam sensor and to check the wiring harness/ecu for oil and she was clean as a whistle... Drove well, and even had a lil bit of pickup still at 110k. Anyway I have a lot more reading and searching to do on here, thanks again for the welcome
