How Accurate is FSS? I was averaging about 10,000 Miles interval for Service A until now. I have not check the FSS for about a month and all it sudden it increased to 11,000 miles and past couple of days the indicator is stuck at 6,000 miles. What you guys average interval for first service A?

When the car is brand new, or the FSS is reset, it starts at the 10,000 mile interval. Depending on driving habits or conditions, it may change the interval up or down. When you say it increased to 11,000, do you mean the actual FSS reading or the difference between your current mileage and the FSS "miles to service"? Same w/ 6,000. I mean, if you currently have 4,000 miles on your odometer, 6,000 miles on the FSS is about right...The FSS mileage reading will decrease as your odometer miles increase to equal the current service interval.
Any of you guys had experience of FSS indicator increase by 1000 miles? I had FSS indicator at 5800 miles last night however this morning it went up to 6800 miles. My MPG went up to 23.7 from about 21 due to change in my daily route. Would this make the FSS indicator change? Any feedback?
