Brake question on 2002 C320...

Hey everybody, I'm a W201 / W124 guy but a friend needs help changing the front brake pads on her 2002 C320 - besides asking if there are any special tools needed for this job I wanted to know after the brake job will the message across the cluster concerning the low brakes go away on its on or do I have to reset something?

Thanks, much appreciated - OJ's DNA

You must replace the worn pad sensor that tripped the message to make it go away.

Thanks - is the pad sensor a autozone thing or a stealership item only? Is it similar to W124 pad sensors?

Thanks

Dealer or on line, $6.35 on line. I'm not familiar with the W124. It's a small plastic plug with wires and a connector that mounts inside a hole in the pad.

Yeah, same as on older models - I never bought new ones, just stuck the old one back in the hole.
