2002 C230 Sports Coupe
I got about 131,000 miles on it. I've never heard of this before! The only problem I've had was with the water pump and of course the power steering pump I still need to fix.

If your tranny hasn't been flushed you would want to do that.
Is it manual or auto?
Yeh, well I've learned what to look for on these cars.
Oil leaking into harnesses causes lots of expensive problems,
the 2 places it happens is at the cam sensor and sometimes the
tranny. Then the glycol in the tranny is the really huge one.
Costs more to fix than the car's worth.
Other than that, it's just a matter of staying on top of maint.
and keeping an eye out for leaks etc.

Thats weird your water pump and power steering pump went out...
knock on wood. They're both on the same belt...hmmmm.....
mine are still both original.

I've had my car for about 3+ years. Its a auto. My car was making a weird wizzing noise. I thought it was the power steering. I had my friend who is a tech to check it out yesterday. It turns out that I didn't need to get a new pump. I need to put more power steering fluid. Im pissed cuz I took it to get looked. I said I might need one and they said I DID needed a new pump. I put some ps fluid in it and now its not making that noise.
Tranny flush? Ok. I was thinking about that cuz I've never had it done. Thanks for the tip. I'll get that done and check for leaks.
