OUCH!!! did you see that?!
i was driving on the 60 west today at around 2pm was approaching the 605 so naturally theres traffic. but noooo!!! a guy with a gold W203 stuck in the middle of the freeway!!! his front left wheel flew off! his car was sitting on brakes! after i passed him i saw his wheel a mile away damn... what a waste.. what do you think was the cause of this? im scared this might happen to me...

Improper mounting of wheels, bolts could have been too short, didn't torque correctly . . . yeah . . . that is pretty unfortunate

Makes me think of that movie...where that black guy and the white guy have this ongoing argument and he pulls up in a cab waving a tire wrench just before the other guy's wheels fall off his CLK.

There is a back story on this. Guy had on slicks to autocross with. Bought new bolts but was given the wrong thread pitch. He got a torque reading, but the pitch gave way, and the end result was awful.
