7 speed aut. transmission required services @ 39 K miles. I had my cousin's car in for that services @ Caliber motors in Anaheim for $250.00 (Now change to MB of Anaheim). You may not save that much DIY with MB parts (transmission fluid, filter, gasket, oil plug bolt....). DO NOT use un-approve oil for your transmission, it will very costly if the wrong fluid is used. Regards.

That's cheap! I need to call them and ask how much.

EDIT: They said it's $285 which is still better than $500 at other dealers. Why so much difference? Looks like I will be a regular at MB of Anaheim. It's closer to my house anyway. Thanks SoCaL208.

Atlanta Classic Cars first said $245 for the trans service, but when I asked my service writer he said $400. Then I found out the $400 is a service and a flush, so I assumed the $245 is for just the service.

How can they service it w/o changing the fluids?

Service only replaces the fluid that comes out when they drop the pan to change the filter, the flush changes out all the fluid. The correct way is to do the service first and THEN do the flush and change out all the fluid.

What's the interval of servicing the tranny fluid? I thought it's not until 100k or something.

I quit FJones a while back (price are too high), in the last 2 years, all of my MB cars are serviced by Calibers, my SA (Gary Williams know me by 1st name), I spend a lot $ with them, that's why he may give me a break. Sometime I got 15% off for services thru internet from Calibers advertising.

I'm glad I read this thread. I just did service A and the dealer didn't even mention about the tranny fluid. Dang.., I'll be visiting the dealer again. I wonder how much at Laguna Niguel, going to call them tomorrow.
