You know times are rough when..
you bring your car into the dealership for warranty repair and the service adviser tells you they have a new rental policy.
1. Car rentals are free only for the first 3 days regardless of how many days it takes to fix your car, after that you have to pay enterprise or go car-less.
2. It costs $10.00/day to get a C-loaner, if you decide not to pay you get a Toyota Corolla.
3. When Penske calls you, you are obligated to bring the car back within 12 hours, if you fail to do so you will be charged with a full day rental.
Now how is Rusnak & Keys treating you guys?
(Side note: Car went in for warranty for a broken coolant hose)

In SoCal, the best dealer I dealt with was Keyes European (Mercedes) (Van Nuys). No problem, gave me a free rental I filled up the tank but they didn't even check. I had no problems. Fast service and great people. This girl brought in her S Class the started complaining saying i'm bringing in an S Class and you guys are giving me a C Class so they gave her a GLK lool. So i mean they take care of their customers.

That's pretty surprising.. I use Atlanta Classic Cars in Duluth, GA. Free loaners (C300 and C350s) for as long as your car is in for service. It was the same with the Acura I owned. Same with the Infiniti. I'd be aghast if I took a premium-brand car for warranty work and was expected to pay for a loaner. Use another dealer, there is no excuse for that kind of policy.

The two times I have been to Valley Motors, I have gotten Ford Fusions through enterprise, no charge. They weren't so bad really, but I was glad to get my Mercedes back. They will try to give you a C, but it seems like they are reserved for those with higher class cars, or maybe I have just gotten unlucky.

Thats rediculous. Is there another dealer?
I had the dealer keep my car for 1.5 months one time...
wow, what a rental bill that woulda been.

I have been going to Fletcher Jones and they always give the new c-class as a loaner. However, this one monday the dealership was hella busy and they were out of all the C-classes. So I got the E350 as my loaner car. hahah. sweet!

Benzel-Busch in Englewood, NJ - Complimentary C or ML; Only if you purchased vehicle there however.
Prestige in Paramus, NJ - Complimentary loaner for ALL service customers, regardless of where vehicle purchased. I received a C300 recently. Now this is smart business practice IMO.
Mercedes Manhattan, NY - Complimentary loaners for ALL service customers as well; but this dealership is factory owned so it's kind of expected I guess.

Yeah I'm thinking of switching over to HOI not sure how that would work though.
Was just told that my coolant tube breaking is not covered under warranty because it's considered "tube / belt damage" which is under normal wear and tear. So much for purchasing the extended warranty.
Was quoted $350
