BTW, it is possible to diable ESP on '03 Coupes
I read somewhere a while ago that you can disable ESP on '02 models but not on '03's. This is not entirely true. About two weeks after I got my car we had a huge snow storm. The next morning I took the car out at a local mall to see how she handles in the snow. I did some shap turns with ESP on and off and in both cases I was able to control the car. After about an hour of serious driving I decided to have some fun and mess around with the car a bit.
Longer story short, one 'run' with ESP off led me to do 2 or 3 complete circles in place (doughnuts), and I took my foot off of the clutch and let her stall. When I stoped spinning I started her up again and got "ESP Not available". Until I shut the car, I could not turn on ESP, and it didn't engage on its own like it would if you hit the button to shut it normally (you know ESP is almost always on).
Now, I am not sure what exactly caused it to become not available (the spin, the stall, etc...) but it is possible to completely disable it.
