Resonator Delete? C320

Has anyone every removed there Resonator?
I want the car to sound a little bit louder i heard that this could be a cheap option?
Anyone know of a ( GOOD ) muffle shop in San Diego area?

Also did you see any gains by doing this? I really just want a better sound from the rear end of the car lol..

Just go la? went to aaa exhaust to ask for quotes... they gave me 600 for custom exhaust... rather than euro rev for 1500.. so ask them for pricing i guess?

I did it. You won't notice a difference unless you put the windows down, turn off the radio, and floor it. Those with the newer model w203s notice more of a difference than us with the older ones. Maybe you should try removing the resonator along with the secondary cats.

Ryan...

How much would it cost for something like this to be done? resonator along with the secondary cats? I just want the car to sound deeper. Along with no error codes.

I just did an 'advance' search on "c320 resonator delete" within the non amg 203 section and found the following:

1. Most people deleted their resonators for about 60-80 bux regardless of what car
2. For the most part the exhaust is JUST a bit louder over stock.
3. Some stock cars in the later years came w/o resonators from the factory.
4. Everyone loves the sound after they remove the resonator unless they already have a ridiculously loud muffler.
5. No shop will remove your secondary cats unless you get a hook up (not legal)
6. The search worked and I found all your answers w/in a few minutes.
7. Sorry to be an ***, but STFF for the sake of all of us who frequent the forums.

The shop i went to charges $45/hr. So that's all i paid. Had i done the cats as well, they probably wouldn't have charged me anymore. Removing the secondaries will not trigger any errors.

True, although I have not done this in my car, there is no O2 sensors downstream from the secondary cats, so you should be able to remove them without any error codes.

I doubt that removing the resonator will produce any gains, I believe it is just there to quiet down the exhaust a bit.

i deleted mine... you won't really notice a difference like what ppl have stated. just buy a used c32 exhaust and take out the resonator.
