trunk lid spoiler attachment
Just got my trunk lid spoiler from JBSPEED (fantastic quality, btw) and i'm wondering the best way to attach it. Im going to guess 3m double sided tape, but i'm not sure what the exact name of it is or what pattern in which to attach it to the spoiler. any pictures or advice would be greatly appreciated. thanks.

i just bought some from the auto parts store...its black 3m automotive tape and it has a red layer to protect the stickyside in the package (which is clear)...i just cut a bunch of straight pieces and stuck it on the under size with the goal to cover as much surface area as possible and then peeled off the red layer and stuck it on holding down for about 30-45 seconds...make sure you follow the instructions on the 3m tape!

Some automotive grade 3M double-sided tape should do the job. I'd give the car a day or two to sit and "cure" so it doesn't fly off during a spirited run.
Also, when applying, get some painters tape to hold the piece firmly to the trunk, and you should be good to go!
Also, I'm parting out my car if you're interested in any parts, please let me know!

I am wondering as well. I have to install my wing/lip as well but have heard the Automotive one was for moldings and doesnt hold good. Is this true?
What do you guys think of Epoxy? I was thinking to put that on there any reasons why I shouldnt or should?
Thanks guys

I would chose a silicone over an epoxy if you decide on using that to secure the spoiler. If you use double sided tape just go to a body shop supply store and get 3M double sided Industrial Automotive tape, (red liner, gray tape). My JB Speed spoiler came with the 3/4' 3M tape in place, so it is surprising that yours did not have this as well. If you do go the tape route I agree with the above post to let cure for at least 24 hours prior to fast driving. I have never had a problem with mine holding in place with just the tape.

I'm more worried about the wing flying off and hitting someone on the freeway as much as "losing the wing".
