i was reading some on porsche forums (cayenne's).. a lot have asked questions about reliability issues on the brand/car.. one guy said that all the bad comments they get are those from people who didn't really owned one.
while not all cars will be the same, i guess the best comment you'll get are from those folks that have owned and experience the vehicle.

2005 C240 4MATIC, 2010 ML350
+1 on the 2005. I have a 2005 240 4MATIC, and I've had zero major problems with the car. What issues I have had were covered by my Mercedes CPO warranty. I would definitely recommend getting a CPO car and extending the warranty to 100,000 miles. That way, if anything major does happen ( and I think it would before 100,000 miles on most components ) you're covered. It's an excellent warranty. Just make sure you find a good, friendly customer service oriented dealer.
