Weathertech Window Deflectors?

Hey

I was wondering if you guys had any experience with the WeatherTech Window Visors?
I remember seeing them on a few member's cars, and I kinda' want some

But before I order them, I just wanted some reviews + pictures if you guys had any.
The cool thing about these is that they don't require anything to hold them in place.
But I remember hearing that they create more 'wind' noise? Any insight?

I did a search, but didn't pull up a specific topic on it, nor any particulars that had pictures!~

Thanks guys

EDIT: Saw kcheng's selling topic. They look pretty cool.
Wondering if you could give some insight? Noise, more, closer photos?

My mistake.
It seems those threads were from other sellers: rlee and shake. Those were nice deals =/
60$ shipped and $50 for the full sets =(

I was mistaken because most of the pictures were re-posts of kcheng's car, so I automatically assumed it was his. Haha.

But thanks to that, I did some further digging and found these very very nice pictures:

(I hope they won't mind me posting them)
kCheng's Car:

Closer External view: Might be someone else's car:

Internal View: my favorite view:

And here's how they should look when you order them:

(Weird thing I noticed, it seems one corner is always 'cracked' / broken. Does this always happen?)

(Unless they're all using previously posted photos)

Still looking for the following info:
Noise Info
Are these the same images posted multiple times?

Keven wouldn't mind I think, lol.

As for the noise level; it might be a little louder, but that's coming from my friend's Honda Accord. But in general I believe that visors add a little more wind noise.

Where are you going to order yours Jimmy? I couldn't find it on their site.. well a set of 4 that is.

I hope I can link to sites:

But I'm thinking of ordering it here:
http://www.tonnocover.com/Vent_Visor...l_T451605.html

It says "starting at $55"

But you can order the complete set "WeatherTech" for $109.95
You have to choose your make, type, year, etc. Seems legit to me.

Apparently they offer free ground shipping (works for me, as any other option listed there is $35+ )
I found this code that gives a $15 discount off items more than $89: TC11
Put that in at the checkout page.

There's no tax either, so that makes the final price ~$94.95
Just to let you know

Hrm... I actually did some thinking while taking a cold shower (it's blazing hot in Davis.... )
With the eisenmann... the wind noise doesn't even matter.. it'd probably get droned out by the exhaust or the wind-noise that comes from opening the sun/moon-roof. Lol.

So I guess I'll order a set tomorrow. Unless someone advises me not to between now and then.

(Or gives me a cheaper deal than $95 shipped )

Not to be a hater but IMO window visors look cheap and make the w203 look trashy, same with the rear window "spoiler".

I say this with the utmost respect because I know they're a hot item around here and they seemed to be liked.

I'd say order the set, or don't order at all. Lol.
Having front window visors look really weird, because the rear looks like it's missing something. iono, just what I think everytime I see coupes have that one long front one, but there's nothing on that small window they always have.

Our cars have that small window too, but it's given a much lower 'stance' due to the shape of our cars.

I don't know about the rear window spoiler, but as for the window visors... I've seen them on plenty of cars. Some really nice ones, some really crappy ones. I think it really depends on the car, and how you display the visors =/

*Take a look at kcheng's car. I don't think that looks 'trashy' at all. It's all about the display

I think it'd look great on black cars , but lighter cars... I don't really know due to the lack of people with them

We're all entitled to our own views.

I actually like them on my car. They reduce wind noise from my experience. As for the cracked pieces, those happen from taking them off the car. They are wedged pretty tightly into place so when you bend them to take them off they can get caught and crack slightly but don't worry those pieces that you see cracked are on the inside and cannot be seen.

I like them because I like cracking down my windows all the time. Plus smoking would be easier for me as I can ash it outside my car while moving and not have ashes fly back in. Plus ut will help out by blocking the rain when it actually rains.

Plus it looks SO cool lol.

Lol.

Guess we all have different views.
Iono. I saw them on my friend's Acura TL Type S, and he makes it look good. And overall, I feel that the visors make the top of the car more... bulky in respect to the bottom.

Davis gets pouring rain sometimes, but iono.
I got a PM from someone on these forums willing to sell the set to me for about ~$50 USD.. Can't complain about that price. So.. if all goes well.. I'll probably get them, and see how I like them.
If they're ugly... I could always re-sell them for the same price. Lol.

Haven't done any mods on the tarck bike or car in a few weeks.. This might be one of the few less expensive gadgets I always get.

hahah Yea I dont mind about the pic. But the visors were awesome, I wasnt planning to sell it. Its very useful when it is really hot, you can leave a crack so the heat can escape. Also when it rains, you can roll down the windows and this can prevent it from fogging up your car and you can have some fresh air

Weird question, buuutttttt...

I was wondering...
Since they just snap in... If I leave my windows open a crack to let the hot air circulate (It's freaking 100+ degrees here in davis....) could someone potentially take(steal) my visors
I mean... wouldn't they just pop right out, with some flexing of course, if the window wasn't there to apply pressure?

I don't know what they'd do with it... I'd suspect the first w203 nearby, but there are some messed up people in the world...
(there are 2 w203's around my apartment complex... I believe both are c230's.. haven't met their owners yet, maybe they're nice people)

I do like the idea of letting hot air out though... although my car doesn't get very hot, air-wise, but the seats do get really warm... damn black interior =/
I have 35 front and 20 rear tints... and I usually take the time to put up my sunscreen for the front, lol.
The venting would definitely air it out, but probably not much better than tilting the moonroof up a little?

Just something I just thought of

Stop being mean Frank, hahahahahaha. I love cracking my windows open a bit, it helps out a bit. My car on a hot day at UCR is like opening a freakin' pizza oven at Pizza Guys; no bueno. Plus, I was serious bout the smoking part. In the rain if I crack the window open a little it becomes a mess because it starts getting inside and then my cig gets wet; again no bueno.

LOL, thanks for the links, but I'd rather not have that dinky looking thing. +1 about the rear windshield, I had to vacuum the isht out of it.. that's why I'd rather have some visors so the pressure will suck it out of my car, not into it.

LoL wasup...I bought those Weathertech ones from Rlee and then I sold them to shiv (white w203) after I sold my car. It was cracked in the corner when I bought it but they are plastic and could happen easily. It doesn't really matter though as that part is tucked in and isn't visible.

Here's some better pics when I had them...I liked them but I just didn't like it when I rolled my windows up and down. I always thought the platic would crack but it never did. I guess I just got that feeling, but I think it looks good if ur windows are tinted. I think they look badass from the inside though.

Heres some pics for you:

I like mine.

The are NOT the cheap crappy deflectors that stick on the outside of the window and bubble out. They sit flush with the window frame when installed. I can barely fit a finger between the deflector and the window.

The early coupes have the problem of noise (due to cabin pressure and harmonics) from the open sunroof, thus the "hump" on later models. With these visors I can crack the side windows, which relieves the cabin pressure and does away with the noise.

I also live somewhere with a lot of rain, and like being able to crank the windows.
