After 2 trips for the SRS light, i need advice

Hey,

My car's SRS light came on after I first brought it to get the steering whl buttons fixed. It would ONLY come on if i belted up, otherwise no malfunctions.

I brought it back, they claimned to replace the seat belt buckle with 2 hrs of labor.

I get the car back, and as soon as i get in it, the light is on when I buckle up..

what gives? Shoudl I just find another dealer?
Its just getting annoying after they sincerely said they fixed it, i didnt even bother going back in because I had to go to work.

My steering wheel also recieved a cut from a tech screwdriver, i called about that, waiting to see what they will say.

Service sucks!

Cant complain with the loaner car I get tho -- TIA

I had the same issue as you recently. After the first time I took it in, the lot boy brought my car out with the SRS malfunction on, plain as day, as the guy got out of the car. So, needless to say, I gave them the keys back. After coming back the second time they informed me of a "steering angle sensor" that was responsible for the SRS message. 2 days later it was on again. So, after a discussion with the manager I was assured a fix. They called MB tech line and replaced the SRS control module, driver seat belt buckle, driver seat R & R (who knows), and installed some 'latest and greatest' codes. I have not had the error message for 3 weeks now! So it looks like they found the problem. Woo hoo! I hope that this info is useful. I believe you have the right to demand a fix, especially on your second or third visit. Best of luck.

to be honest with you all, doesn't the lcd display just **** you off? i mean it looks cool and if properly "working" is great, but its just a pain in the a$$. malfunctions are daily...regardless of the "true" condition of things. half the time things are okay, just a screwed up sensor. am i the only one who believes that simplicity works the best? modding is also soooo much easier and efficient. just my "million dollar" comment!!!!!
