Service A message question

Hey guys, I have a 2005 c230 sedan and has only 43k miles on it but have really bad luck with that car. Just been spending so much money on the car for service/maintenance and i hardly drive it . so is it necessary to always bring the car in for service everytime? I'm still in school and this wasn't a car I wanted it was just handed down to me from my brother.

You can do the services yourself. There's a thread that surfaced recently with a good list of all that's included in the service A and B. The biggest (obviously) is to change the oil. It's pretty basic maintenance. The only issue is the warranty, but I think if you just keep the receipts you should be fine. Someone else could chime in on those specifics. A quick search should yield the information on most of this thought. Good luck.

And... why would you not want a Benz... especially an '05?

what type of problems have you been having? if you are asking if you need to take the car to the dealer to service the answer is no but if you are asking if you need to service the car at all the answer is yes. if you put your location in your account someone in your area can recommended a good shop to go to. And what type of car did you want anyway?

haha well i mean i love the car runs really great and i didn't want a specific car, any car is fine to me if it'll take me from A to B then that's cool. So mostly the oil change is the most important? I'm about to order the pump soon to change my oil. thanks for the replies.

pump, shpump... meh, you don't really need that, safer? maybe... so the car won't come down on you. Get the right oil and the right filter (and if you are draining the oil for underneath make sure you get a NEW copper gasket for the oil bolt). There is a pdf with the mechanics should do at a given time interval, pretty nice too...

Just good oil (most of the time Mobil1 0-40w but might be different for you) and make sure that the other fluid levels are correct, honk the horn and you just saved +$300

You must service the car, yes.
