Thanks for the confirmations, guys. Especially the link, splinter.

If you're talking comparison of stock brakes to these, yes, they're much better. If you're talking C32 w/stock rotors vs. with the Racing Brake rotors, I doubt you'd feel the difference in non-track conditions on the brakes themselves. However, the difference in unsprung weight is pretty significant.

Interesting. They just sweep the slots in the opposite direction normally seen on slotted rotors. On their site they say it improves performance. Makes sense for open slot rotors, though to effectively clean out the brake dust. Learn something new everyday.

Once again on the brake setup Tommy. And you are absolutely right about the performance of the rotors is going to be very subtle compared to OEM C32 rotors, but the unsprung weight difference should feel VERY significant.

Just to update this thread a bit, here is a complete pic of the car.

OK, so the current setup is as follows, from front to back:
Penn State plates
Mark Cummins starless grille
Carlsson front lip
Advans' oem clear headlights w/Sylvania bulbs (bright enough for me to not want to spend more $$ on bixenons - besides it's north Jersey; I could drive without headlights at all, and just use the outside lights of the stripmall I'm currently passing ) have lamin-x blue headlight protection that I never put on - I think I'll probably not do it; think it would be too much blue, if that's possible
Smoked corners
Eibach Pro-kit
OZ Ultraleggera 18x8 all around, Goodyear Asymmetricos all around, wider tires on rear
Various door dings from people at said stripmalls (need to call local co. for paintless dent removal at some point - they're embarrassing)
Tinted tails
Renntech 3-piece rear spoiler (first in country, after their first two prototypes blew up in the painting process)

I think I'm done with the outside - only thing to possibly do is C32 rears, but don't see much value there

finally ! lol we get to see your whole car. you can still do the CLK55/63/SLK55 030 rear brakes.

the C32/55 rear is of a bigger caliper and vented rotor, but unless you get them really cheap might as well skip ahead to the 4-piston from the 030.

Hmmm - I still use my original C7 17" rims for winter. My guess is that they wouldn't clear, but I could be wrong.

finally!

looks great.. reminds me of a rally car. i like the black and blue theme... that lip is rare too. i've only seen it once before. carlsson, right?

only thing i would recommend is blackening out your turn signals, maybe updated tails blacked out, and lowering the front a bit.

any pics of the interior?

I agree on the turn signals - they do stick out as is, don't they?

Yep, Carlsson front lip. I'm sticking with the OEM tails; they look more old school to me and I like their looks better than the newer ones. As far as the front being high, I agree, but don't really want to spend the $$ on coilovers - if Tein's EDFC worked on our cars, I would have forked out for one of their packages instead of the Eibach kit, but it doesn't, so I didn't.

Pics of my interior are in various threads here. Since you didn't like my a pillar gauges, I won't nicely collect them in this thread for you. I guess I will start up a gallery here eventually.
