2007 C230 iPod Question
What's up guys...
i know there are a couple threads on this but haven't found the answer to my problem yet..
i've to a 2007 c230 sport. Just bought it used. Previous owner had the cd changer removed and replaced with an iPod adapter (kit). However i can't get my iPod to work. Plug in the iPod and the mercedes logo shows up on the screen, but i can't control it (on the iPod) and can't get the sound system to switch over.. how do i get the system to go to it? how do i get it to work?
any suggestions will be appreciated!

it's embarrassing, but i know very little to nothing... i would imagine it was installed on AUX.. previous owner paid the $600 to have the dealer install.. the connector is in the glove compartment.. if i do 'CDO' it goes to the CD.. if i do CDC it's says "no CDC".. how do i go to AUX?

You have a W204 right? 
If so then in disc mode, use your thingamajig near your armrest and pull the dial down, then scroll over to the left and press down on the dial, and aux should come up as a option to choose from.

IF you press CDC that will activate the CD Changer but since there is no CD Changer it is jumping back,
BUT
If you HOLD CDC than that will activate the AUX.
Man 600 bucks????????? What a ripoff. It's so easy to install the AUX.

idk why he removed the changer...i had bestbuy install man for 60 bucks (stealer wanted 300) and my changer still works...all you have to do to get it to work is hold down cdc until the ipod thing shows up...you also can't control from the ipod but from the steering wheel or h/u...gl

You can control the iPod from the HU... do you have to have command for that? I know in the 2008 S class you can only control from the steering wheel.

yes w/o command you can only control it from the steering wheel...w/ command it shows up on the command screen as well...

I assume this is a different kit than the 3.5mm mini jack cable that you install under the passenger side door sill plate and route to the side of the glove box? I've never heard of being able to control a device through a mini jack.
