Do you clean your topsider after use?

Thanks to a lot of help from this forum, I just changed the oil in my 2002 Mercedes C240 by myself for the first time. Everything was a breeze. My only question now is, does anyone clean their topside oil extractor? I have the MityVac 7201. I feel like I should clean it, but to do so would require a lot of disassembly. Do you just empty yours and put it away until its next use?

I just empty mine and wipe down the hose then put it aside for next use.

I would be interested in knowing how one goes about cleaning it?
I only use mine for oil so whatever I dont get out I figure will flow out the next time I do an oil change, but I have never cleaned mine...yet.
