leather discoloration

leather discoloration

Does anybody else notice a tendency for the black leather to discolor? I notice a whitish grey discoloration on the black leather - I'm not sure if the leather is dry or dirty but have tried Lexol cleaner/conditioner about 3 times now. It gets better for a time but comes back. It's most noticeable on the back seats. I bought my car used from a guy who didn't really look after it so I hope its just dry leather and hope it will improve with a little TLC! Anybody else notice this?

Do you do anything special to look after your leather? Any suggestions?

Lexol Leather Cleaner, and Lexol Leather Conditioner....

every month or two i apply mercedes (Meguires) leather conditioner/cleaner.... and have not noticed any discoloration in C230K with charcoal leather.... the SLK however is always in the sun and the dark leather seems to becoming a bit light.... you might want to bring this question to the Detailing & Automotive care section... ALboston seems to know his stuff...

I see little white spots here and there sometimes. I'm not sure what it is. I usually just wipe it with a chamois when I am washing the car and it usually goes away.
