Two things, build date and phone question
I just got a call from the dealer today. Ordered September 8th. Said I have an early January build date and that it should be here mid to late February. Black/Charcoal, C1,C5,C7, Auto, CD Changer.
Question: I already own the Motorola V60 phone and was thinking of getting the K2 package. Is there anything proprietary about the "Mercedes" V60 that would preclude me using my own phone? The dealer has offered to order the package and keep the phone rebating me the difference. It would be really nice to be able to use the phone in the car but as I have already spent the big dollars on the phone I can't justify doing it twice.

Yes, the Mercedes branded Motorola phones have their own proprietary firmware in them. This is how the phone "knows" hot to interact with the COMAND system, and the reason Mercedes gets the hefty price they charge.
