my personal opinion on that interior is that it is nothing special. it looks the same as every other BMW. i hate the way they design that center armrest.

Hmm. The Kompressor (that's how it is spelled BTW) has been referred to as "bullet proof." No one is saying that you are not entitled to your opinion. Talking regarding something you have no formidable knowledge about is reffered to here in the states as B.S. I don't talk smack about topics which I have not researched. The only main complaint people had regarding that 2.3L motor is that it was loud. I am in love with my new 1.8L btw. And in terms of BMW's... I know very few people that are impressed with the 3 series. One more thing, it's a generic vehicle and you can pick them out on the road all the time. Do you realize that if you ABUSE your car ( ANY CAR), that it isn't going to treat you nicely as well? I have read a lot of posts by people who abuse their cars right off the lot (remember... there is a 1k BREAK IN period). Last but not least.... I didn't like the rear of the coupe but a lot of people do. We are all individuals with different tastes.

oh the C230 sedan does have a 1.8L badge. is it a stick or auto> sweet car btw.

this is just like the good old days with SoCal. <sniff> <wipe tear> im not implying its MacPhisto, its just bringing back memories!
by the way, my opinion is i like the interior of my coupe. so there!
i have chrome door handles, my dash has aluminum trim in the center and fortunately my hood is painted to match the exterior and not given aluminum treatment as well. im 6'3, and there is back seat room. i had a VW and there was less room back there than i have in my coupe. its not an CL, so lets not kid ourselves and think it is.

This thread is absolutely not about your opinion. It is about whether this guy should buy a C230 or C240. He already said he didn't like the BMW, so quit recommending it. He knows what a BMW is and says it looks boring, so let him make up his own mind. So yes, he did ask me what I think about this. He asked everyone here what they think.

You need to trade your car in and have daddy buy you a BMW and then go join their boards and talk about how much you love it. Just quit coming here and talking about how much you hate your coupe. I had a BMW 325iS right before my coupe, and I can tell you that I like the MB SO much better than the BMW. There is no comparison.

sorry I am late in the night now with my reply. I didn't get home from work until now. I hate my staff. they suck. Simple as that.
Yah.... Everything you see on the car is what it came with from factory. I was looking everywhere for a black with dark charcoal interior. Everyone had the light colored interior on the 230's on their lots. Orlando Benz found it in the port and did some swapping of inventory to get it. I finally was able to make the near 2 hour drive to pick up the car on wednesday morning. The car is such a dream to drive...... I test drove everything our there. I literally shopped around for 1 year guys. The MB just fit every one of my needs/wants better.

It's auto with the moonroof package (c2 i believe? i am tired.) and changer.

i have charcoal interior i think it goes really well with the aluminum dash. there is such a contrast they really go well and look great!

Yes. I don't know the exact acceleration numbers, but the 230 engine has more hp and torque and better throttle response and low end torque, so it feels much faster.

I couldn't force myself to buy the 240 and instead kept looking for another 6 months until i found out the 230 was coming in a sedan. For me, the difference is like NIGHT and DAY.

p.s. citron... that was a good point about the dark interior meshing well with the aluminum. I hadn't looked at it that way. my baby is named benzie.. what's yours ?
