Black Light: IF YOU HAVE, HAD - Please Post.

For some reason lately, I've been wanting to get black light for everything; my room, my basement, etc. etc. Recently the urge has extended to my car. I notice that the c230 K trunk top (that top that you can remove to create more room in trunk) is perfect to hold the black light while the wire will go perfectly down the center and plug into my lighter. Anyone have a blacklight in their car? Any cons?

Well you know, myroadster.net has a really unique blacklight UV LED! I was skeptical at first, but I have a pair (just for fun) and they really do work. Best of all, they are really quite inexpensive and you won't have to worry about them fading as neon blacklighting tubes will in time.

See this:
http://www.myroadster.net/led.asp

I didn't actually install them permanently, but this is what can be done:

That's hot. Unfortunantely because the car is leased I don't want to do get involved with installlations. That's why I just want to get a Black Light that plugs into the light adapter. I hope that's sufficient enough to light up the car.

Oh just tap it off of the cigarette lighter from beneath. You can easily remove it after.

I've had a black light in my car but I've removed it 2 months ago because it looked too rice-like.

So umm is 48" blacklight going to be enough? I figure it's better to get the blacklight thats powered by AA batteries so I can plug my radar into the lighter instead of the blacklight.

Not a chance.
I have a suggestion: replace your headlamps with "black light" LED bundles - this will greatly improve both looks and visibility and will instantly draw scores of young females.

Asking for no negative comments is asking for trouble. You ask people what to do and they give you their opinion. Personally i think all those lights inside the car look TACKY!

But don't you (and other flamers) get it? I have already made up my mind to get one of these things. So why waste your precious time adding comments that serve no purpose and are totally irrelevent to the discussion? Life's too short to commit ignorant acts purposely.

if you have already made up your mind, why ask us for our opinion??

dont forget your topic is :" To do or not to do?"

are you experiencing a state of uncertainity, and would like us to "agree" with your choice, so that you dont feel guilty?

I have no comment as to whether you should add the black light or not, but it seems like you only "allow" us to provide you with 1 answer...if that is the case....

Man, go for the lights..it make ur car look sooooooo cool............

Where j00 think i heard that phrase first time? But you see, I don't repeat my foolish acts unlike the people who on a daily basis provide flames on this forum just for there self-enjoyment.

As for Xeon, I have already made up my mind but I would like to hear from the people that have or had blacklights in there vehicle. People that have never had such a thing in their car don't need to add their opinions here because it's irrelevent what they think.

Don't put the black light in there. I took mine out. It makes people think the driver of the car is an immature, impulsive, punk *** street racer. Unless you are a street racer yourself.

I had to take it out. I didn't want to tarnish the Mercedes-Benz name.

Btw, I predict a lot more street racing accidents and deaths will occur after the movie 2 Fast 2 Furious is released. It's a pity Hollywood is money driven and they're oblivious to how movies like those will influence punk *** street racer wannabes out there.

.
i'm not flaming you. I simply said I think it would look tacky. If I would have been flaming you I would have said thats a Ghey Ricer, hey look at me, teenager think to do. I simply stated my opinion on the question that you provided for me, nothing more nothing less.

So are you saying that if I disagree with you, that my thoughts are irrelevent? Or anyone who disagree's with you about ANYTHING, are they irrelevent, or are you simply stating that people who don't have black lights in their car arent worth wasting your time talking to. Thats what it seems to me that you are saying. If it is, you should have a title like LOOK, AND POST HERE ONLY IF YOU AGREE WITH ME ABOUT INTERIOR BLACK LIGHTS. I mean come on, if you think everybody on a forum is going to agree on one thing ( well maybe except how hot the off topic girls are) then maybe its you that is the "fool" as you say, and not the rest of us.

Pardon my ignorance, but WTF is a "blacklight"?

(besides being an oxymoron)

I've put cathode ray blue neon bass lights, black lights and all sorts of ricer crap in my car... and believe me... it loses it's appeal.... all i have in my car right now is a radar detector... all lights are out...

I've seen honda's and lexus' all over manhattan with blue neon lights ... looks pretty cool... but i wouldn't advise putting them in C-coupe.... if you do put them in... do it right haha.....

You ask for "cons" and then tell me not to post any negative opinions? How does that work? I'd consider the tackiness of "black lights" to be a huge con.

It is relevant - at the very least this will educate you a little and prepare to take laughs in your face in real life.
