I currently have the Audio 20 (North American) headunit and would like to know if it could be replaced with the CLC's headunit (for MP3 capability and newer UI). I'm talking about the new Audio 20 (like in the '09 W245) which basically looks like the W204's radio display. They come from the same body so shouldn't they be interchangeable?

Also, I have a friend with a 2007 C280W4M with HK. He's wondering if COMAND MCS II is an easy retrofit and can he add the Sat module & the full Bluetooth kit. We all know the 2007 W203's have been decontented in NA and all the pre-wiring has been removed (for example, the aux-in white plug). I'm also pondering this because I might be switching for a 2007 C280W4M Avantgarde myself. What do you think?

Oh, and one last thing: how hard is it to retrofit the OEM car alarm, if it is even possible?

If your C-class doesn't have phone, HK sound, CD changer, SAT radio it will be rather easy to retrofit a comand NTG 2.5. Do keep in mind that the unit won't be serviceable through stardiagnose after the retrofit!

If you do have HK sound etc, you have to keep in mind that these won't work in combination with the NTG 2.5 head unit.

An MCS II navigation retrofit in a 2007 C-class is a piece of cake. Adding Sirius is also possible, but if the car isn't pre-wired your friend would need an additional wiring harness.

Car alarm... where are you located, if I may ask?

Sorry for the long wait... but I am back again (sort of). Anyways, car alarm is something Steve could install for you. But that will probably depend on where in Canada you live. My brother goes to Toronto from time to time, to perform installs.
