Amp RCA wiring guide

I am trying to install an aftermarket amp in my 2002 c 230 coupe with Bose, was looking for some help on where to get signal so i can connect my RCA cables.

In the trunk on the left side next to the factory bose sub there is a unused wire that says amp out.

Does anyone know if I can splice these to get signal.

Thanks

So Sorry. You cannot connect line level inputs to the head unit because there are no coppertone line level outputs, RCA connector or otherwise. You need an attenuator to use the speaker level outputs. Keep in mind that if there are no highs, and softer lows, it must be Bose, so you will need an adjustable attenuator to compensate for the non-standard impedance of the Bose speakers.

Basically just re-wire everything.

Any Option

Is there no PAC type adapter that can allow rca adapter.

I am trying to install a sub and amp in the trunk and need a way to connect the RCA.

I have an 02' C 230 coupe with the Bose System, stock HU and Cd Player

there is a cable in the rear right panel that says amp. Does anyone one know what that is for?

Thanks

The signal level audio is carried throughout the car on fiber optic light pipes. The system used in your year through MY 2004 is called D2B. The cable in the rear is for a power amplifier. The premium audio has a sub on the rear package shelf. If you have no sub there, you have the standard system, or the vandals stole your amp and sub. (just kidding)

A lot of self contained subs have amp and driver in one box and will accept speaker level sound. You can capture the speaker level sound from wires in the door sills.

Good luck on getting the sound you like.
