What the problem be?
I have a 2004 C240 4matic with 70k on it and now when i put the car in reverse and turn the wheel (no noise yet), and then back up the car starts to do this clicking....grinding...kinda sound....clikc clikc clik.....then when i drive straight...perfectly fine....backup straight...perfectly fine....sometimes when i drive forward and turn the wheel hard, i can hear it like rubbing or clicking on something ....what can it be??!! do i need to fix it as soon as possible?

your wheels are hitting something. did you just put rims? or get your wheels balanced??? i remember before, i had my wheels balanced i forgot to tell them to use the stick on weights everytime i turn left or right i get the same sound. the wheel weight is rubbing against the struts. check the back of your wheel and the strut for scratches. easy fix. if thats not it, then for sure it has to do something with your wheels hitting something.

hmmm... feel it on the shifter eh?!?! axle??? is it a 4matic?

here's what i found:
defective differential
insufficient differential oil
front wheel bearings loose or defective
check tire pressure
defective balljoint or tie-rod ends
incorrect rear axle endplay
i suggest you inspect the cheap fixes first. second have the car lifted and inpect the under chassis.
