Car wont crank. Need help
He guys. My car was running just fine till yesterday. Just now i tried to start it and it wont even crank. As i turn the key to start it, i just hear a click from the engine and then nothing happens. Does anyone have any idea what could be the problem. Crank shaft sensor, alternator, starter, battery, fuses ?

Thank you LILBENZ230 for the information. It could be the battery, but all the electronics of the car seem to be working fine, radio, interior lights etc. Someone at another forum said that it could be the starter. I have read at some forums that it be the fuses too. I'll check them anyways.

Then try moving the shifter around.
I had the same thing happen 2 months ago on my 2006 C55.
When it started after a half hour I drove to dealer and left it for them to fix.
They just gave it back to me as they couldn't get it to not start.
Has been fine to date..?

Clicking usually indicates a battery problem.
Make sure you read your manual on how to disconnect/connect it.
I heard the SAM module is quite sensitive to surges & expensive to replace.

Thank you everyone for all the input. Well i brought the mechanic with me to my house, he checked it and it turned out that the battery was dead. He jump started it, we drove back to his workshop, got a new battery from MB and done. Costed me $350 in total including $270 CAN for the battery. Thanks again guys.
