Exclamation aftermarket radio help

did the search, can't find anything...

i have a 2002 c230 kompressor

i want to put an aftermarket radio on there.. the problem is finding an aftermarket center trim, it looks like the stock radio is a wierd shape and an aftermarket radio will not fit properly here what i need to know..

1) where to buy the center trim that will keep my aftermarket radio flush?

2) any picture with aftermarket radio already installed?

im putting aftermarket radio because i got the cheap base model stock stereo not the bose one so kind of a upgrade down grade if you will thanks a bunch MBworld you guys are the best

That is nice. The stock radio drives me nuts, but I can't find the trim kit either.

If you had the Bose, you'd want to upgrade, too - it's only a minor improvement, honestly.

I got the Scoche kit several years ago directly from them. Haven't done sh*t with it yet, but it's a 2-din unit (you can get a one-hole dual-din size surround as well) that has a stock finish on it. That's what I would get.

so i ordered the radio trims

now i have to order the stereo wire harness, i guess the audio installation place is trying to charge me a buttload just to get a wire harness i was wondering if this one is the right one so i dont have to cut my factory wires, and give the place an extra 100 bucks just to get this

I just thought I'd come back to this thread since I'm getting ready to update my audio system.

I picked up the double-din face place a while ago "just in-case"

I was thinking of going for this:

Did anyone else do anything with the faceplate?

Pictures would be hawt.
