c320 Engine Mounts replacing?

c320 Engine Mounts replacing?
I want to replace out the mounts on my c320.
I pulled up the procedure on the wis and it specifies to remove the entire exhaust system.
Seems a bit more trouble that I am ready to get myself in to.
I searched around and found a few diy posts that specified using a piece of wood on a jack and raising up the engine enough to get the mounts in and out, but they weren't specifically working on a w203 v6.
Has anyone else replaced their mounts that can give me some advice?

Cost of the parts (engine mounts) is not bad - $90 a piece, if I am not mistaken. WIS instructions indicate that we have to remove the entire exhaust system to replace the engine mounts. If it is necessary to remove the exhaust system, labor charge for replacing the engine mounts can be steep. Anybody else replaced their engine mounts on M112 C320 4Matic?

Yes, you do have to remove the exhaust. As far as lifting the engine that would be helpful once you already have the exhaust off...easy if u have a lift ..lol ........But for a rattle? mounts? it should make a noise in neutral just reving the engine....
