Question for NV/Vegas members regarding front plates
Nevada law says if your vehicle does not offer a way to display a front license plate then you aren't required to use one.
My question is if your vehicle does allow you a way to mount a front license plate (you have a front bracket installed) are you then required to display your official license plate there or can you use it for a novelty plate (eg. European style plate) instead?
I have never had front plates on any of my cars here in the last 10 years without incident. Although none of those cars ever had brackets mounted in the front. I am concerned if I mount a Euro type bracket and plate on the front bumper Metro may ticket me and require the front bracket to be used for the actual license plate instead.
Anyone have any experience with this?

I bought my C230 new in 2004 and I have never had a plate on the front. I told the dealer not to mount the front plate bracket when I picked it up. Never had any issues when pulled over for other issues.

I've never used a front plate either in the 10 years I've been here without incident. What I would like to know is if I put a novelty plate up front will this cause an issue with the police and get you pulled over if they notice it.
