Need help with repaint

Hey guys so heres my thing,

I was driving home from work and some jacka$$ in a truck hauling a boat decides to pull into my lane cutting me off while Im doing 65mph and literally fishtails the boat causing the freakin propeller to fly off(the boat was in ***** condition) and hit my front bumper on my C230. I chase him down and flag him to the side of the road. He apologizes and says he didn't see me(he was an older gentleman) and takes a look at my damage which was literally only an inch long and you could barely fit the tip of your fingernail in there. He says he's the service manager of Ford-Lincoln-and Mercury of Pompano Beach. He shows me his ID and card from dealership. I take his info and everything and he says that he will have my front bumper fixed and resprayed...FREE! Today I drove by the dealership and looked in the paint department and say a few BMW's, volvos, 3 porsche's, and a couple Lincoln MKZ's and MKS's in there getting resprayed. The finish looked factory showroom on those cars. My question is will this paint hold up as well as my factory paint. Its an Iridium Silver 230 and has been garage kept, weekly washed, monthly detailed, and never abused car. Basically Prestine condition. Problem is that I took a trip back when I bought the car and I accumulated quite a few mini knicks on the bumper. After two years Ive tried to keep them low by not tailgatting and what not but they still appear since the paint is so thin. I was going to get it resprayed eventually anyway but wanted to know the downfall to this. Will I get even MORE chips or should I just suck it up and live with the hit. It's really not noticeable unless you come within 2 inches of it with your face. I just don't want to pass up a deal like this as he will fix the ENTIRE bumper and have the whole thing resprayed. I know it needs flex additive since the paint is soft(according to my SA) but anything else or am I just being paranoid. Need to know by Wednesday afternoon. Thanks

My car is the same color and my bumper had to be replaced/repainted by a collision shop (non-MB) here in my town. Factory match. It's perfect. No need to be paranoid, you'll be fine!

Edit: Not that you can really tell, but the picture in my signature was taken 2 days after the new bumper was painted. The car is an 05 and had 49k miles at the time of the bumper repair.

Mine has held up fine! I'm approaching 59,000 miles now and it doesn't have even a chip. Automatic car washes, highway miles, etc.. none of it has made it look anything other than factory. It will be fine.

Thanks for the replies so far guys:thumbsup: I had him show me the cars that they have worked on and they are quite impressive. I'll try an upload the CLS55 AMG and the CL65 AMG they had repainted the front bumper and side. Can't even tell it was touched.

I'm dropping the car off Wednesday and will be getting it back on Friday. Hopefully all goes well and I will try to get some pics up(now that I have the new Iphone 3GS 16GB)

I was cutting into the oncoming traffic lane to catch up to him. I was fuming but calmed down when he said he'll have it taken care of. Do you guys still do meets at the starbucks in Aventura next to that bank?

For what its worth, I had a truck hit my front fender/bumper as I was exiting a parking lot. I ended up going to a third party spray shop and they did a very decent job. Maybe an MB dealer/expert might be able to tell, but to everyone I've pointed it out to in person has been oblivious to it.
