I'm looking at buying a 2007 C230 with 30K miles (factory certified).
The carfax shows it has been in the shop several times in its life with electrical issues (shocking, i know). Are these below fixes telltale signs of something more troubling, a lemon, or just something to be expected out of the c-class:
At 5 K miles: Exterior lights checked, Engine/powertrain computer/module checked, Tail light bulb replaced
15K miles: Body electrical system checked, Tail light bulb replaced, Manufacturer's recommended maintenance performed
20K miles: Door ajar switch replaced
30k miles (at dealer that is selling it): Drive belt tensioner pulley replaced, Front seat replaced
Would replacing front seat indicate an attempt to fix the issues folks have had with the seat electrical systems, and would it be a fix that works?

The good thing about a factory certified used car is it will have a warranty for almost three more years. But what do you all think of the issues it has had so far? I have done a lot of reading in the archives on various issues, and have learned a lot from the experts here, but what do you think of this specific cocktail of fixes?

 

I think that none of that is a big deal. Replaced tail lights? My car's VMI apparently had a "replaced steering wheel" in it at some point. My car is fine.

An 07 C230 most likely has just partially powered seats. Does this car have the memory seat package? All in all it is certified, if the price is right, none of this stands out. If you're not comfortable with it, don't buy it. But the facelifted 05-07 models have proved to be pretty reliable.
