Tele - Aid question

All-
I have a 03 C240 sedan and I am having an error message on my display. The display says 1 malfunction, Tele-Aid emergency call, please authorize SOS. What does this mean. I hit the information button and they said the tele-aid was already active. Any help would be appreciated.

Try pushing the SOS button. It sounds like that is what it is telling you to do. It's okay to push it even if it's not an emergency. I think that is what you push to make you first call to activate it. Did you just get the car and not do this yet?

Yea, I have had the car for about 3 weeks now. The salesman hit the info button to set up the tele-aid in the car when we picked it up. I wasn't sure if I was to hit the SOS button or not.

Hopefully someone else can help you. I don't have Teleaid. But I thought you had to hit the SOS button.

This same thing happened to me. My salesman set up teli aid with me upon delivery. When the teli aid center hung up, I still had the malfunxtion msg. I hit the SOS button and told them about the malfunction msg. They simply re-sent the activation to my vehicle and all was well.

So to sum up, hit that SOS button and tell them about the malfunction. Tell them to re send the activation to your vehcile.

This should fix everything up.

Looks like the salesrep didn't complete the activation.
Hit the SOS button, then prepare to get ejected through the sunroof.
