Renntech, and this mod in particular, does not come cheap. $12k?

That is really expensive, but it does not look like money is as much of an issue for this guy.

Well, cars are so expensive in HK. It's USD89,740 in HK for C32...

But I will cast for M3.

blah...that's still cheaper than in Taiwan. USD $94k + Import tax is crazy in Asian countries.

C32 AMG
What does this means? We should scream at MB for selling cars so cheaply in Canada. The C32 is only in the low $40k USD over there!

I think that with the lower compression internals from the C32 you can make a C320 into a monster with the help of Kleemann. Running 9.0:1 compression you could run a whole lot more boost than the stock Kleemann supercharger does (7.5 as opposed to 15 psi for the AMG...). The Kleemann supercharger is an incredibly efficient one, and their intercooling is an absolute work of art...

A Kleemann supercharger running the boost of the AMG supercharger (which it will do safely at 9.0:1) on a C320 would blow the doors of a stock C32...

Whether or not the clutch of the MT6 would be able to handle the extra power or not... thats a different story.

I have no doubts that the kleeman supercharged c320 would be a monster with the same boost settings as the amg but what did amg do to make the car more than a second faster to 60? I don't think an hp differnce of 19 would account for this.

True, but that would equal a LOT more $$$$

Yes it is and thank you!

I wonder if I can get a C32 from Canada. I think the more euro spec car will be much better.

I think you're right about 19 hp not accounting for a 1 sec. difference... but I also think that the test was based on very conservative estimates on Kleemann's behalf... I'd be willing to bet money that a Kleemann C32K is MUCH closer to the C32 in terms of straightline performance than those numbers imply...

A C320(automatic) Kleemann with upgraded pulleys is as fast as a stock C32 to a certain degree. The C320 will have a little advantage off line due to its gearing.

A car club in Taiwan(GPRS) has a few members with C32 and C320K and they do prove things the "scientific" way!

Do you believe a tuner would use conservative numbers to market themselves?

These numbers were obtained from a roadtest comparison by car and driver so the numbers could be off but since they were both run under the same conditions the gap in performance is probably pretty realistic.

What about C32 with upgraded pullies?

2. You want a coupe or wagon that is not offered in C32 guise. Design your ultimate stealth panzerwagon or blitzcoupe. Blown 4Matic wagon, hmm, would certainly warm up those ski trips.
Aww man your from MB board, you should know it.
