Remus Exhaust Installed on 2.5L V6 C230
I got my Remus exhaust in Friday and installed it Saturday, and let me tell you it wasn't a cake walk! Since no one really makes an exhaust for the M272 engine, the closest thing you can get is for the C320. Apparently, the exhaust on the older V6s is a little smaller than the newer ones. The Remus muffler was the exact same size as my stock pipe, so obviously it wouldn't just slip over and clamp on. If you're getting your's welded, this probably isn't an issue. So right now I've got the two pipes butted together with a short 2.75" ID pipe clamped on there, this isn't ideal since there's a hard edge for the exhaust gases to hit. I need to find a small pipe that is 2.75" ID on one side and OD on the other side. Overall, I'm happy with the look (even though I didn't want square tips) and I'm really happy with the sound. I originally wanted an Eisenmann, but I couldn't find a used one and I couldn't bring myself to pay $1200 for a new one (and then on top of that have to wait a month for it to be made and shipped in). Since no one has any video clips of this exhaust, I made a few videos to help other people decide. The first clip is a cold start revving the engine and the second video is a drive inside the car.

I will take some still pictures of the exhaust later and post them.

It does soundreally good. Not too loud? How about in the cabin, is is noticeable? Also, did you have to cut the opening in the bumper? And lastly, what model is the muffler?

Ummmm....I'm as cheap as they come when it come to forking over money to the parts minkeys, but in a situation like this, there's no choice except to go to a muffler shop, and likely it wouldn't have cost more than 100 bucks total and 1/2 hour of time. Mucking about with exhaust laying on your back = no fun. Point being, I'm surprised you didn't just get it welded...
sounds nice!

Nowhere ...Fast
Actually it would cost you closer to $50 at the shop especially if you already have it in place...anyways...I had Remus on mine before i went Flowmaster dual quad...and i tell you its did sound good on short trips...but got a bit annoying if driving at monotone 65mph for longer than 30 minutes

I’m trying to make a custom exhaust for my M272 C230
Could someone please let me know what the ID and OD of the pipe after the cat and after the resonator are?
