Pic Request: Coupe with AMG wheels

Any modification needed?
I always assumed they would only fit on the back,
I have the same wheels but offset with 7.5" in the front.
It would be nice to be able to rotate them.
I eat rear tires like crazy, but I like the way they fill out the rear wheel well.

I always assumed if I got a flat on the front I'd be SOL...
AMG brake issue ya know...
(for those who don't know what I mean, if you have AMG front brakes the stock coupe spare won't fit. If you get a flat in the front, you can either use fixaflat (which will very likely destroy the tire, causes tread to seperate) or you rotate the rear to the front and put the spare on the back. )
Geez frank....18700 + posts????

You're talking the 2002 coupe?
How many miles on the car?
If it's more than 70K miles or so, the shocks are shot anyway.
Replacing the springs alone isn't necessarily a bad idea (I did it)
but the shocks will wear out no matter what over time.
And putting in new springs with already worn out shocks is
ummm....well, not good....my car hit around 80K and I could tell the shocks were gone, the ride
was just crap.
So I went to CO's.
Sooooo....
that being said, assuming the coupe has a few miles on it,
you're better off installing new shocks when you do springs..
and THAT being said, you're best off installing a matched set,
such a cup kit, or Coilovers...
and of course Coilovers give you the most adjustability,
but the cup kit is less expensive and accomplishes the same thing, without height adjustment.
Another popular thing is the Koni's, but they'll cost more than the cup kit with springs!
If you can't afford new shocks, and you're at or over 70K miles on the stock shocks, save until you can afford to do both springs and shocks.

Car has 33,000 plus miles, not much at all for a 2002. It rides pretty smooth right now, doesn't corner like a porsche or anything. I will probably just upgrade the springs after reading what you said and eventually change the shocks.
As far as sway bars are concerned worth the upgrade also?
Vaquero, your car is not AMG, please remove the AMG badges because they make look silly. You joined a forum where Mercedes Benz enthusiast can recognized the type of car you drive, this is reality and you need to accept the truth. Your car is not AMG.
