long trip.....need cargo space
I'm preparing a move from PA to CA and I need to cram as much stuff in my coupe as possible. I want to purchase a cargo container, but the two available from MB are $540 and $670 for 8.5 and 14 cubic ft respectivally. Does anyone know other companies that sell cargo carriers for a little more reasonable or suggest any other options for maximizing space.

Ah,
so off the big P?
(you know, the big "P" on the side of the mountain, for
Cal Poly) Great place to go to school.
If you don't know what I mean, you'll see it when you arrive.

cargo carriers
Here are a couple of choices. I've had both brand (for bike racks) and quality is about equal. They probably have mounts for the MB rails. HTH.

Bike shops can normally order them for you if they don't have them in stock.

Out Of Control!!
Personally, I'd put that money that I would have put into a cargo carrier into shipping all of the excess that won't fit into the car. A cross-country trip would be much more fun if you're not lugging around all of your belongings. Especially if you don't think that you'd use the cargo carrier more than once.
