C-coupe Speakers

I didn't get the bose system in my car as I wanted to add aftermarket speakers and sub instead!

Right now, my audio shop is giving me two options:

1- Keep the standard speakers and Head unit + amp (under front seat) + 10 in. subwoofer (spare tire space)

2- standard HU + change speakers (front and rear) + amp + Sub

My question is: Would the option no.1 be enough or would I get too much bass and not enough highs?

What brand of Sub, amp and speaker should I buy?

Thanks

Have they looked under your front seat? I don't think there is a lot of room under there. Probably even less room if you have power seats. But even without them, I think space is limited under the seat.

I mounted my 800 watt amp right to my box in the trunk. I have 2 12 inch rockford woofers.

It sounds so nice. Just right, when the bass is in the center. Believe it or not, the stock speakers sound alot better now that the bass is going to the subs and they dont get overdriven..

I just upgraded to an indash dvd uinit, and the sound is even better, because the standard audio 30 headunit isnt the best quality. Use what you have, add a sub and amp, and I think youll be happy!

Thanks for your reply! What brand of sub and amp do you recommend me using?

I have an MA audio amp. For bass purposes, i dont think that the brand is that important, as bass is just low freq sound. My amp sint an expensive brand at all, and sounds great.

I ran a power wire from my battery under the hood to the trunk for the box where my amp is.

I have a line level convertor which takes the amplififed signal from the stock stereo and converts it into standard level for the amp to use.

Its really fine and it shakes the ground. 2 12 inch woofers is kind of overkill, i lost half my trunk with the tall box. But i dont really use it anyways...
