Yeah, one with the C7 would be really cool. Maybe it''s a $7.50 option?
Don't forget: this morning may be the day that the C230 review is on Motorweek in your area! Get vcrs warmed up and ready!

If eBay doesn't suit you...
I ordered mine from scale18.com. They have all kinds of 1:18 cars. the Coupe (in Blue) was $26, shipped.
Disclaimer: I'm not affiliated with that website, though I have ordered about 30 cars from there.

I have one right on my desk. Brilliant Silver, the cleanest color. It's neat that it even has the panoramic sunroof, but it has the exact busy cloth pattern on the interior. Steering works, shocks work and it's fun to open the doors, trunk and hood. Just wait till I get the real thing!!

Where are you guys getting these models? Anyone know if there's a sedan model too?
Tommy, you don't like Capri? You know I've got it, not special order on C240 like C230. Saw Capri on a CL500 one day waiting to make a turn, looked great. You know how it is, it's always interesting to see someone else's car in your color so you can really gawk and appreciate it! :p

I just checked www.diecastcountry.com, and it looks like they have a c sedan in Capri coming out soon. You can pre-order it there.

MarkL, I was out at my dealer's lot this evening, and they have a Capri blue and Java C240. Great combination. The had an Orion and Ash 240 also. Almost as nice. I wish I could have gotten Orion and Java.

Thanks fellas, I'll check out the places you mentioned. It's funny about the Capri. I had seen it the first time I checked out the C along w/ a Desert Silver. I was afraid I didn't like the purple cast it sometimes has in bright sun. Then, when I was getting closer to ordering my car, I saw another Capri at the dealer and that clinched it. Although, I'd like to see an Orion/Oyster sedan up close. One zoomed past me one day and I only caught a glimpse of it. Tonight we went to see "Mothman Prophecies" (pretty cool) and I saw a Bordeau/Ash. Really, they all look good! I could have two just to switch off -- oh well, just wishful thinking.

C32 AMG, Volvo S80T6
the sedan is available now
Go to the sharper image and pick up a C320 Avantgarde. It is silver with grey interior. Looks very well done. Although I have a C32, this is very close and it looks damn much like my car. I picked up that one and the CLK GTR model. One is Maisto and the other is Anson.

2001 Mercedes-Benz E430
These little things are cool! I have a Silver GS400 1/18 model and a Black E320 1/18 model in my office. It is kind of funny because I actually have a Gold GS300 and a Black E430.
My staff gave me a smaller scale 911 Cabriolet... Who knows what is next!

2002 C230 K
For some strange reason there are different colors available on the C230 model depending on the scale. For example, silver is available on 1/43 and 1/18 but not 1/87; with Magma red on 1/87 and 1/43 but not 1/18. I find this kind of strange considering that it shouldn't cost the manufacturer that much to paint the models different colors. Speaking of the manufacturer, the 1/18 is made by Maisto, the 1/43 by Minichamps and the 1/87 (which I haven't seen) I'd guess is Herpa (but possibly Minichamps).
The C7 wheels I've only seen on the German Mercedes dealer versions of the Magma red 1/43 and the Capri blue 1/18, the other colors have the stock wheels. For some reason all of the American versions (including the dealer versions) are with the stock wheels, this is even stranger since I think that the dealer versions of the 1/43 scale models are imported from Germany (the 1/18 scale versions US dealers get from diecast model wholesalers here in the US; German dealer 1/18 models come in a different Mercedes branded box). Interestingly, the German Capri blue 1/18 C7 is an automatic (with the correct "knobby" C7 pedals), while all of the other versions are manuals. Apparantly the C7 wheels are assembled as part of a completely different base chassis which is an automatic.
All of the models I've seen had cloth patterned seats, the C7 may have had leather but I can't recall, possible as part of the different chassis.
Obviously I know way to much about this subject.
Enjoy, BT

Well, I checked out diecastcountry.com, and as Tommy said, the sedan is coming, but not yet available. Then I went to collectablediecast.com and they had a blue sedan. After I ordered it, I noticed it must be a sport because it had 5-spoke wheels -- doh! Oh well, it's probably too much of a hassle to cancel the order, so I'll have to get both, one for work and one for home. The diecastcountry pic was definitely a "regular" sedan because it had the 7-spokers like my C240. Both appeared to have ash interior, no java.

FYI - My C-Class sedan model arrived last night...
Yep, FedEx stopped by and dropped off my 1/18 C-Class sedan from collectablediecast.com. It's an Anson model, Capri blue/Ash (too bad it's not Java like mine). I guess it's a European version because it's got a large license plate, and tiny "Avantgarde" labels on the front fenders near the door. The detail is pretty good, with "wood" on the doors and dash, 2-tone dash w/ trans shifter, etc. BTW, it has the regular 7-spoke wheels (like mine), not the sport wheels as shown in the picture. Anyone know if these things separate from the plastic base? There are two small screws, but I thought it might just pull off...
