Spacers On Back Two Wheels?

Hi,

Im planning on adding spacers on the back two wheels on my 2005 C230 Kompressor for style in my opinion.
Does anyone have any experience or knowledge with the down sides to this upgrade.
Opinions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Make sure you get hub centric spacers from a good company like H&R.

Only downside I had with mine was snow accumulation in the wheelwells, which obviously would not be a problem with you.

People have commented on increased bearing wear with them, though I think that's overstated.

Thanks for your response.

What brand name and size did you use on your spacers?
I dont want to go overboard but be stylish at the same time.
Any recommendations on the (mm) size?

Don't forget to get the proper size bolts. Too short and you'll lose a wheel, too long and it will destroy the parking brake. Double and triple check that you have the right ones.

I used an H&R wheel spacer and bolts, just 10mm, gave my previous C230, the coupe a bolder stance that was subtle but filled the rear flares of coupe nicely. Not sure I would go beyond that, especially on the 2005 that already has staggered wheel sizes.

Thanks for the warning!
I was actually considering 25-30mm spacers because a friend of mine told me it would look good. Now since you said that and have more experience i am actually re-considering.

I am considering about going 20mm on both.
What do you think?
