Short answer for "SP" mode - "C230K dashboard mystery"...

There are two modes of operation for the steering wheel buttons on the audio page. One mode will seek to the next available station, and the other mode will only seek programmed stations. "SP" indicates that you are Seeking Program, i.e., pressing the up or down button will move to the next station programmed into the radio. The mode of operation is selectable via the "settings" page.
