Removing the rear seat back?
2005 c230 sport
this seatback is driving me nuts,i would like to remove my rear deck lid;but it seems as if i needed to remove my seat back.i removed the rear seat with ease then removed all lower bolts for the seat back thinking it should slide out afterwards?i have my trunk ripped apart thinking there would be bolts holding the seat back, but i did not see anything obvious that would indicate so.
i always make a project for myself

IIRC, if all the bolts on the bottom are out, you need to unclip the seat back from inside the trunk. Those two black ovals in the sheet metal that faces the back of the car, pop those off and there is a latch inside those that hold the top of the seat back on. These are the same latches if you have the folding seats, you just don't have a cable that connects to them!
