I had yellow calipers on my G35 it was black also. The only issue is that unless you clean your car weekly and do a few touch-ups during the week with brake cleaner. Then they will look bad after the brake dust and road grime is on them. I had Axis pads which were almost dustless. If you want I can send you some pics of what it will look like after a few weeks even with cleaning. Also if you are going to do yellow get them powder coated by a good shop this will help with the discoloration / dirty yellow look.

Anything that makes London appear more sunny is an improvement in my book.

If you get ceramic pads, you should be fine. I've got gold calipers, and they look fine without cleaning.

And what if you don't like them? Just paint over the yellow. No harm in trying something different.

Personally, I wouldn’t paint the calipers of any non-AMG sedan (other than the OEM grey or possibly black) as I think it just gives off that poser sports car look. I see accords and stuff with red calipers all the time here in Houston

im not a big fan of the yellow calipers, unless you have a yellow car, with black rims. which isnt to common for mercedes.

i would try red, or gold even.
if your leaving the rims stock, you can even try just making them black like your car

I love painted calipers as long as they're done right! however I dont like them apinted unless you have the piston calipers...thing it looks stupid on standard cars with non sport/piston brakes...that looks poserish! but its not posing when you do have sport brakes and after all our brakes are made by Brembo! just dont paint the rears!

That is like saying that there should not be any bodykits, front lips and rear spoilers ...

But as maverik stated, you should only paint them if there is something worth showing, and those brake brackets from a C240 are a good example. Granted, the ones from the C230 Sport cant be compared with the true AMG ones, but they are larger than most other car's.

Obviously, I am in the minority here… but it’s just not my thing. Our breaks do rock, and are made by a performance manufacturer, I just don’t think a 4 door sedan with 215 hp (or whatever) should have painted calipers if it doesnt come stock… that’s just the “school” I come from.

Buts that’s the beauty – to each their own and customization is king. Body kits and painted calipers do look great on C’s – IMO best looking ones out there have ‘em. Would I do either to this car – no… would I do it to an AMG – yes. Just a matter of personal preference and different principals.

Bottom line is f what others (like me) think… if you like it – DO IT!!

As a car enthusiast I would do it to my "nice" car. In this case a C230. If I had an AMG I would not paint them. It would have a nice brake setup that already has colored calipers.

i have mine in yellow with black wheels. i totally brings attention to the wheels and makes them pop. so if you want your wheels to be noticed, why not. i love the way it looks. i have sport brakes in the front bad regular brakes in the back. imo i think makes the uncoated brake look better anyway. unless the rest of your car is stock.

ps. will look 10000000x better with aftermarket wheels.
