Help, strut problem after lowering spring install
I installed a set of H&R springs, and during the reinstall the black retainer piece that holds the top of the strut to the strut tower does not go low enough to tighten. It hits the top of the strut before it it hits the strut tower. And because of this when I turn the the wheels the struts move forward and backward. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Hi folks. I am having the exact same issue after installing my H&Rs yesterday. That black retainer piece at the top of the strut (inside the engine bay) won't screw down far enough, so there there is a gap of about 1/4" between it and the rubber buffer. Anyone find a solution to this?

I have H&R's on mine, but I put Koni adjustables on at the same time, no issues with the installation.
Sounds like the strut bearing isn't seated right, if its spun the wrong way it won't sit flush and prevents the nut on top from catching the threads.

I have H&R's and did the install myself and have no problems. sounds like you probably didnt seat it in properly. I remember having a little trouble getting them in but it eventually did.
