C320 or 330i
hey frank, do u like the c32's metal trim in place of the wood??? i personly think its disgusting. no wood and benz is a total oxymoron
i just love my wood
That comment about the Civic was directly for this remark you made:
Just following your logic.
No, you accused me of being biased. If that's the case I'm saying the same back to you. If you say you're not, then I'm not also.
Fair?No it's not just the brand name image. It's the physical comparison of the e46 interior vs. the w203 interior.
I don't know why you're so defensive about this. One is sportier looking and the other is more luxurious.
go read J P's post.
Now you're saying 3-series is sportier, NOT cheap??...I thought you said the 3-series has a cheap interior?
want to know why? because I had actually driven a 328Ci for a year before the VW and the MB. So I know what is been said actually true or not. I agree with you on a lot of points that you make, but did you had a E46 3-series before? NO
I'd still hold my nose and get a 320i if I was looking for a cheapish German-made car. It is quite good, despite its shortcomings.
I challenge you to show me any M-B dash in a current model that today has any similarity to those of its cars of 28 years ago. Even close to the similarity of the BMW dash photos that you posted up last night. You won't find any. Perhaps the SLK, but its interior is of course a pastiche of a 190 SL, and so it doesn't count since it's from 45 years ago

I agree with some reviewers who say that BMW 3er dash materials are better than those of the W 203. No question about that. On the other hand, there is hard plastic in the 3er where one might not expect it, in places where the C has padded vinyl.

The Best of Mercedes & AMG
the bmw's titanium trim is ok, its not too bad i guess. but the C32 is just horrible imo. they should have done birdseye wood! the darker wood u know what i mean
IMO the standard wood trim should be birds eye maple or that other wood trim color that is now availible for the C-coupe instead of just the regular wood trim in the sedans
yeah, I like the blk birds eye maple too, but I'm getting use to the aluminium trim. At least, IMO, it's better than the standard wood trim.

Birdseye is the BEST!!!!
arite sidenote.
Frank, i never drove the c32, does s/c make it less smooth?? also how is the handling in ur opinoin
do u ever get a chance to really use hp on the streets or freeway?
just curious
ahhhhhh man, id expect this in a honda!!! but in a mercedes benz
i dunno man
.. personally i like the aluminum trim, i don't like the wood trim probably cause i'm still young....IMO the standard wood trim looks plasticy... sorry just my opinion...
the aluminum as enough to steer me away from the C32

I think the handling is good enough to take on the M3, but the M3 still has more edge over the C32. Drove my friend's M3 SMG II, it really does handle and respond better to every driver input.
on the street it's pretty much like all other car, but once I got on to the freeway, the passing power of this car is really amazing. I use it very often of course, as I'm pretty much always in a hurry or late to get to some place.
the power deliver is pretty smooth. Some say there is a jerk when the s/c engages or at 1500 rpm, but not in my case.

then i asked myself if i really needed 350 horses in SoCal. i answered myself truthfully to a no. i just love my car though its great. at first they wanted me to get a C240
i silenced that offer quickly (no offense to 240 owners)u must love the bragging rights of an AMG huh Frank
do u plan to keep ur car long?
ima keep for the next 8- 10 yrs probably. im superattached to it
Hey Frank, does the aluminum trim on the c32 look similar to the c-coupe's trim?
btw, not my car. I don't have a clear interior shot of my car.
the trim in the C32 is textured aluminum. It has this little square bumps on the surface. C-coupe has patterned aluminium that has a smooth surface.

nice! i was thinking c32 actually but my parents didnt want me to kill myself

i'll be driving it for the next 5-6 yrs until I get something on my own. Maybe a used car, if the condition is not bad and the price is right.
yeah i saw pics of the interior of the c32 but i couldn't distinguish whether it was the same trim.... you should see the SLK trim haha.... ever see the back of those reflective stickers in those sticker machines???... yeah that's what it looks like.. no flaming on the slk owners....
as i said, those are not my own pictures...
I'm just messing with you. It would be funny if you didn't say they weren't yours, you would probably get some people asking how you got a right hand drive BMW in the US.
