Dealer Charge

Anyone ever do there brakes at MB? Wondering what ball park was for changing front pads? I heard they don't just change pads, but they change rotors as well??
07 C230 BTW..

Have you tried calling the dealership and asking for a quote as well as what is included in the work? (I'm not trying to be a smart *** or anything, just throwing that idea out there.)

Don't even think about it... Buy a set of pads for around $100 and spend an hr doing it yourself. Rotors will not need to be changed at the first pad replacement, but fluid might.

Don't remember exactly what mine cost...I'll have to look, but they checked the rotors and as long as they are in spec they don't change them. They will true them if needed. At least that's how my dealer handles it.

Pretty easy to do.. you can pm me and i can explain it to you. I ran into a few problems with my 07 C230ss, but it wasn't anything major. I purchased a set of friction master pads from advance auto and oem sensor. my front rotors where okay. So far my front wheels are dust free.

Buy the pads through getmercedesparts.com then take it somewhere and have them changed.

When they change brake pads they dont change rotors (not all the time).

The pads will be max 100 dollars including tax and shipping and the change of the pads will be around 100 dollars.

The pads are easy to change. There are pins that you push out and the pads slip out. Push piston back (not too much) and replace the pads and slide pins back and you are good to go. (General)

No need to take off caliper.

I don't know where you are located but HMS will change them for 100 bucks.

I got my pads changed for 167 at meineke/midas, i dont remember which one. They did a good job for me. It also including the brake sensor replacement.
