What type of bulb is used for the license plate? It wasn't in the ligting faq. THanks.

The 03 sedan manual on page 280 lists the type as C5W.

 

If it's out, just go to your dealership - if they have an Express Service Center then it'll take about 5 minutes for them to replace the bulb - then any additional waiting time. You're not going to find the 5 watt bulbs at PEP-BOYS so don't bother. If you're going for a different color some have said that they've used 10 watt (which apparently is the standard) bulbs of the right length without any problems. Some have done that and have had problems.

Mine burned out couple times also. I just took them out and wen't to a Auto Parts store and got the exact same bulbs.

 

Don't put in 10W bulbs in there. I tried it and the plastic cover become so hot that it melted. Secondly, having 10W bulbs will make the car "not" blink 3 times when locking the car.
